This notice is to remind all PACs and continuing principal campaign committees for candidates who were not a part of the 2011 Special Election and have not officially terminated with this Office, to file on or before Monday, August 1, 2011, the July 31st Report of Receipts & Expenditures. The Report must contain receipts and expenditures through July 26, 2011.
In an effort to relieve the responsible committee official(s) of a continuing reporting obligation every January 31st and July 31st, pursuant to D.C. Official Code Section 1-1102.06 (2001 Edition), the Director of OCF is encouraging the treasurers for principal campaign committees for candidates from previous elections to take all efforts necessary to formally terminate operations pursuant to D.C. Official Code Section 1-1107.02(a) and (b).
Paper filings of the report must be received in the Office by 5:30pm of the filing deadline. Electronic filings must be submitted by midnight of the filing date. If you wish to file by paper, you may obtain a copy of the necessary form (OCF Form 16, Report of Receipts & Expenditures) on this website under "Downloadable Forms."
All committees are advised to timely file the July 31st Report. Failure to do so will result in the referral of this matter for an Informal Hearing for violation of the reporting requirements. Committees for candidates in the 2011 special election and PACs that did not file a notification on non-support with this Office do not file this report.
