Request an Interpretative
Opinion
Any person subject to the DC Campaign Finance Reform and Conflict
of Interest Act (The Act), as amended, may request a written Interpretative
Opinion concerning the application of The Act and its implementing
regulations.
Address the opinion request to the Director, in writing, with all
of the following information:
- The full name and
address of the requestor
- A detailed account
of the activity or transaction and/or a concise statement of the
issue concerning the Act
- Any related documentation
The Director shall respond, in writing, to each request within
thirty (30) days of receipt.
If the requestor disagrees with the Interpretative Opinion issued
by the Director, an Advisory Opinion may be requested from:
